I used homemade fondant for the blue circles, a fondant stamp to make the paisley design in the center, and glace icing for the dots.
First attempt at using a stencil to decorate a cookie.
Homemade stencil. I think it turned out okay (and worked pretty well) for using the plastic lid from a Utz snack container. :o)

Rhonda's Ultimate Marshmallow Fondant
(Minus the corn syrup. I didn't want the fondant to stretch.)

1 cup confectioner's sugar : 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup : 1 Tbsp. milk

Pink and Brown Cookies
Spillage
I used too much white icing as the base on this one. Once I started adding the stripes, the icing flooded over my border.
Salvaged...sort of
Once the icing set, I used a sharp knife to cut away the spilled icing. Then I piped dots around the edge to cover up the mess.

Ball of Yarn Cookie
On cakecentral.com, there is a forum section that is all about cookies. Every month, the cookie club chooses a different theme and the members design new cookies and share new techniques with each other. The theme this month was "Inspirational Women." I decided to make a cookie that reminded me of my grandma.
These are strawberry cake mix cookies. Grandma always has a great garden and let us pick strawberries from it. She also taught us how to make strawberry jam. She taught me how to knit and crochet, so I decided to decorate the cookie to look like a ball of yarn.
I placed a flat circle of fondant on top of the cookie, then I used a sharp knife to carve the lines into the circle of fondant. Then I just rolled a small piece of fondant into a thin "snake" and coiled it on top to look like the end of the yarn.
